IUI Procedure

Intrauterine insemination is a simple, less invasive office procedure.
Processed washed sperms of a male partner is placed directly into the woman's uterus to facilitate fertilization.
This shortens the distance the sperms has to travel to meet an egg in the fallopian tube.
The insemination takes only a few minutes.
A fertility specialist will place a speculum inside the vagina and then insert a small catheter through the cervix into the uterine cavity.
Sperms are injected through the catheter into the uterus.
Fertilization is still meant to happen naturally through IUI procedure.
Through this process, doctors just help to place the sperm a little closer to the egg.
